Trey as we call him is our young entrepenuer in training around here and is showing alot of hunger at a young age to be his own boss! He really found a love for entrepreneurship towards the end of his 11th grade year of high school when he started washing cars for family members. When I saw his dedication I mentioned that this would be a good way for him to make money for college. So being a graphic designer myself I asked him if he wanted me to make him a logo, when I sent the logo to his dad of course his "what's next" mentality kicked in and he said make us a facebook page. The very next week it was obvious that we were quickly picking up speed so we sat down with Trey and explained to him that if we were going to do this we were going to do it right. There were steps that needed to be taken if he was serious about it, see teaching the younger generations how to make money for themsleves is important but teaching them how to do it the right way is paramount in my book if you are looking for long term success. That conversation led to how Taylormade Detailing was born. Now 3 years later we are still rocking and rolling, he's no longer washing cars, he's detailing them which is much different and way more, for lack of a better word detailed, if you know then you know, and he is killing it! We keep things rolling for him as he focuses on getting his degree during the school year but when he comes home he's quick to get back on his grind! Will he always want to be detail guy maybe not but the goal is to get this business going for him so that it runs itself while he still continues to pursue his dreams. Multiple streams of income is KEY! He works hard in all that he does and has a personality that can light up any room he's in! As he moves forward in his many talents, his path will become abundantly clear to him as this is his journey and is one he has to figure out for himself. However we are always here to motivate him and guide him on this path no matter where it takes him. He is now in his Sophomore year of college at Mary Baldwin University majoring in Business Economics, in hopes of one day taking over the family businesses and even maybe starting a few more of his own! We are so very PROUD of the young man he has become and look forward to seeing where his drive and passion takes him!
Rob and Jesse have been on this journey of love for 18 years now. After Jesse was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus 15 years ago she started out on a journey to find her solice in a world that seemed at the time to be more treacherous than she could handle. This is where her photography journey began. In the past 14 years Jesse reached goals within her photography that she was so proud of such as helping her sister to build a photogrpahy brand in their area known as SBD as well as completing an Associates of Science in Digital Photography from The Art insititue of Pittsburgh in 2016. She became hungry to challenge herself more, to become better at what she does and expand her knowledge in the field while still being able to manage her daily battle with her illness.
Robert put himself through college receiving his Associates of Applied Science in Criminal Justice in 2012, a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice in 2015 from Kaplan University and then decided to go a step further and get his Masters of Science in Cyber Security from ECPI in 2020. He now works full time as well as runs and owns not one but two businesses and only see's even Bigger Moves for the Taylor's future from here!!
So as you can see that go getter mentality is something that is flowing in the veins of this Husband Wife Duo!
We all reach a point in life where we feel it is time for us to spread our wings and try out something new. The year 2020 gave us alot of time to think about the future and that you should never put off until tomorrow what you could do today. We realized through much self reflection that you never have to forget where you came from but it's important to not let that hold you back from where you are going. So to stick with the family values that our photography journey was founded on when we were SBD, Robert decided to step up and and team up with Jesse by starting something for them that would allow his wife to create her very own personal story with her art that could give her purpose through all the troubles she deals with regularly. This friends is how Taylormade Photography was born! There is no challenge that we can't face as long as we do it as a team like we have done for the past 18 years!
